What we collect
Nothing you type, and no account of any kind. CryptoCluster has no login, no newsletter signup and no reader profiles. We do not set tracking cookies and we do not sell personal information. We do collect anonymous, aggregate page-view counts — see Analytics below.
Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard request logs, including IP address and browser user-agent, under its own retention policy.
To stop one visitor from overwhelming the site, our API counts requests per IP address in memory for a short window — a minute at a time. That count is never written to disk, never logged, and is discarded when the window expires or the server restarts. It is used only to enforce a rate limit, never to identify or profile you.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are popular. It sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites. Data is aggregated, so we can see that a page was viewed but not who viewed it. This is why the site shows no cookie consent banner — there are no tracking cookies to consent to.
We also use Vercel Speed Insights, which measures how quickly pages actually load and respond for real visitors — the same performance metrics a browser reports to any site. It is cookieless and aggregated in the same way, and it records page performance rather than anything about you. We use it to find pages that are slow on real devices and networks, which a test on our own machines does not reveal.
Third-party services
- Market prices come from CoinGecko. These are requested by our server, not your browser, so CoinGecko does not receive your IP address.
- Our articles link out to third-party sites for sources and context. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
- If we enable an advertising network in future, it may set its own cookies. We will update this policy and add any required consent controls before that happens.
Your rights
